What is paint correction?
Paint correction is the process of machine polishing your clear coat to permanently remove swirl marks, light scratches, water spots, and oxidation. Instead of hiding defects with filler, it levels a microscopic amount of clear coat so the paint reflects light cleanly again.
What causes swirl marks and scratches?
Most of them come from washing. Automatic brush washes, dirty wash mitts, and dry wiping drag grit across the paint and leave a web of fine scratches that show up under direct sun or LED lighting.
Single-stage or multi-stage correction — which do I need?
Single-stage polishing removes lighter swirls and restores most of the gloss, and it suits well-kept vehicles. Multi-stage correction adds a cutting step for deeper defects and heavy oxidation. We inspect the paint under lighting and tell you honestly which one your vehicle needs.
Is paint correction permanent?
The defects we remove are gone for good, but new ones can form from future washing. Protecting the corrected paint with a ceramic coating and switching to safe wash habits is how you keep the finish looking this way for years.
Should I add ceramic coating afterward?
It is the ideal time. The paint is at its cleanest and most defect-free right after correction, so a coating applied at that point locks in the finish and makes it far easier to maintain.
